Programme: 3rd Polish-Chinese/Chinese-Polish Joint Research Programme

Objectives:

The efforts in the collaborative project are focused on the high performance of chemical looping combustion (CLC) systems in general, which can be achieved by improving the efficiency of both fuel combustion and CO2 capture. Therefore, an innovative design of a reactor for the chemical looping combustion of solid fuels will be developed as well as novel oxygen carriers tailored particularly to biomass fuels will be prepared and tested. The research activities in the project include both experimental investigations and numerical simulations and hence the entire work is divided into eight complementary workpackages (WP). Polish teams are responsible for the implementation of WPs 1-5, whereas Chinese teams undertake WPs 6-8.
